JEFFERY FOR SPARES OR REPAIR, no visible serial number, similar to a Tranter's patent circa 1878, with blued octagonal 3 7/8in. barrel (exposed threaded portion at throat burst), blued solid frame signed 'W. JEFFERY & SON, 12 GEORGE ST. PLYMOUTH' and fitted with thumb-screw hammer safe and side loading gate, blued plain cylinder and chequered walnut saw-handled grip, strong amount of finish remaining. Not recommended for use. With a period leather holster
